The Value of Gifts

Yesterday was my birthday. I had posted a list of gifts that I would like to receive on a cool little site called Kaboodle. Today, I have most of the gifts that I listed. But I'm not sitting here reading a new book or listening to a new radio. Instead, I'm remembering how much fun it was to hang out with every one last night. We played Taboo, ate, drank and got loud. It was great. Thanks to all who came over. And a huge thank you to Misty for taking all the time to cook, clean and entertain. This is in addition to her job, internship and school.
It's at this stage in my life that I realize the most valuable things are those you can't see: the love you receive from people, the laughter of friends filling your home, the selflessness of loved ones that want only to make you happy.
