personalMisty & I just got back from a camping trip in Naples. I have to say, if it wasn't for the company, the trip would have really sucked. It was way too hot during the day and we had very little shade in our campsite. The bugs were out in force! It was nice being away from my laptop for a while, although I did bring a copy of php|architect.
There were, however, some interesting moments. Driving across Alligator Alley, we saw a ton of gators hanging out. On the way back, there was one area where the smoke from the Everglades fires was almost too thick to drive through.
We saw a SUV flip (Nikki, David and Kyle actually saw it, we arrived just after. I'll be wearing my seatbelt for now on. This woman had only a tiny scratch on her leg and walked away from the accident because she was wearing her seat belt. The EMTs sent out a chopper that we got a nice picture of. We also snapped a picture of the overturned Hyundai.
